Hats off to you, Sir Punxsutawney Phil!

I always look forward to Groundhogs Day! When the outcome is good (i.e. an early Spring!) it gives me that little extra push I need to know I can actually get through the Winter!  It reminds me that Spring is really just around the corner, even though the gray days of February seem endless. It lets me know on this 27 degree morning that "This too shall pass." It is my little prompt to start planning our Spring Break and visions of the blue shore, sandcastles and flip flops dance in my head!

Hats off to the that chubby little fellow,  Punxsutawney Phil, who did not see his shadow this morning and predicted an early Spring! Hooray, hooray -- Spring is on it's way!

I know he's an Important Personage and all that, with an Important Job to Do... but, isn't he Cuuuute?!
I do hope we get an early spring, though I'd settle for a later spring and a nice summer - you know, no disasters like floods and forest fires this year... (Poor Australia!)

Hi Tracy,
I just saw your comment...feel free to email me at any time.

That snake is probably only the 2nd one we have seen in the 4 years that we have owned the lake house, and neither of them was poisonous. Our kids swim and tube, etc and snakes have not been a problem at all...even though I'm sure there are many around the water. :)
